Our History

It began with Dakota.

Love Like Dakota was founded in 2020 by Kristie Cummins after experiencing the loss of her son, Dakota.

Recognizing the need for a local organization dedicated to helping families that have experienced sudden loss, Love Like Dakota was formed in honor of Dakota.

Since then, Love Like Dakota has grown into an organization helping individuals with funeral expenses and counseling services.

What began as a mother’s love for her son continues through compassion and meaningful support for others facing loss.
